DAO

The team's intention of starting a DAO, too, is something that is up for vote. While a DAO, and especially an Ohm Fork style of DAO, isn't strictly necessary for the vision of this project, it is something the team has been leaning towards utilizing for the governance of this project. The additional raised funds from the DAO pre and public sale for the Treasury are not strictly necessary, but would be well welcomed for the long term health and success of the Swole Ape Ecosystem. Further, given that the first run of NFTs will be limited to only 3,333 people, the Swole Ape team dislikes the idea that, without a DAO, only *current* NFT holders will be able to partake in governance. Implication being, we want to hear the will of those that will be investing in future Swole Ape NFT lines as well, such that we can properly plan long term and for the future of these ventures.

For example, following the successful launch of the first gym, and achieving proof of concept, we will likely immediately start looking and scouting for viable future locations. At that time, our team would likely run another ~3000 Lifetime Membership NFTs that would pertain to that second location-- but, in this scenario, we would have to wait until that line sold out to put the second location up to vote to be fair to all new members, and in doing so, would only then be able to start properly preparing and scouting within that location. With a DAO as governance, and DAO members being whitelisted with priority above non-members, it would likely that nearly all of those NFT sales would be coming from individuals within the DAO, meaning we could have had that vote far earlier and been much better prepared.

All of that said, this is a portion of our teams reasoning for why we would prefer to go the DAO route following a successful first round of Swole Ape NFT sales. As mentioned, though, this too is something that will be put up to vote, and if the community is found to have a healthy fear of Ohm Fork DAOs due to their recent track record, then we will simply retool and carry on.
