Community Driven

Swole Ape Fitness Club is and will be an entirely community driven endeavor. While the Swole Ape Fitness Team has ample plans and goals that we would like to execute upon, and many things that we would love to make a reality, ultimately the final say will be given to the Swole Ape community to be decided upon. Every major decision, beginning with the eventual gym city/location, continuing with the specific details of governance for our platform, even down to the specific equipment and machines that our team will source for the gym.

We want to cultivate a community such that each member truly feels like they are an active member and that their voice is being heard. There may be potential downsides to this methodology, for example, putting every decision up for vote may sometimes mean moving slower at times to allow for that vote to be able to run its full duration, to allow each voice to be heard. This is the main potential downside we see to this approach, and we already have plans in mind for how to counter it.

First and foremost, we will come to the community for each vote with specific actionable options in mind, and be very specific with the pros and cons of each option, such that each member is able to feel that they are making an informed vote. Further, before bringing these options to vote, there will be a private channel within the Discord for discussions and proposal of these options. Within this channel, Swole Ape NFT holders will be able to contribute heavily to the process, make recommendations, do research, and propose options directly alongside the team. This process will then culminate in a governance vote between the top options, at which point the team will begin taking action in that direction.

Ultimately, though, clearly not every single decision can or will be run by the community, as there will be many multitudes of minor decisions that will need to be made on a daily to hourly basis for a project of this scope. Rest easy knowing that all major decisions will be run by the community, or the community will be informed if it's something which is a necessity and not something that would be vote-able on. In doing so, the governance voting will not hinder the project or timeline, and will only serve to bring an end product that is worthy of this community.
