A New Model for Gym Membership

The Swole Ape NFT model for gym membership is one that our team believes will disrupt the gym industry as a whole. The Swole Ape Fitness Club and NFT project has been started with one concept in mind: to bring Web3 to the real world, to usher in a new model of gym membership. Nearly everyone has experienced the standard gym membership model at least once in their life-- it's imperfect, relies upon the members that pay but don't attend to subsidize the costs for everyone else. It's often seemingly impossible to cancel one's membership before the contract runs its duration, and there's hidden fees every step of the way.

We believe Web3 allows for a new viable model: one in which each Swole Ape NFT purchase represents a lifetime membership, the initial sales are funds raised that will allow opening the gym, and each subsequent NFT sale royalties (as well as a few other side income streams) will account for enough to fund the day-to-day operations of the gym.

By keeping the memberships limited to NFT holders, and keeping the NFT supply below that which the gym(s) are able to sustain, membership will be desirable and scarce. Further, while the Swole Ape Ecosystem and Gym is still in its initial growth phase, the treasury will be plentiful enough from the initial NFT launch and subsequent sales' royalties to sustain the gym's day-to-day costs for quite some time. We do not think this will be necessary, but it must be noted as an option.
